Everything I Wanted / Feels Great! Jan 19, 2011
By Rilee Easy ordering online - fast and free delivery. Customer service department is easy to reach and very helpful. I wanted a smooth, stable elliptical trainer with a few useful programs, variable resistance, and incline. This has everything I wanted and feels great to use.

Just like at LA Fitness May 01, 2012
By GET DIESEL I love this elliptical, my friends all love the big "gym like" pedals. Now days its harder and harder to find a "true elliptical," and this is one of them. The reach is perfect (you don't have to lean fw far and hurt your lower back), it has a smooth movement like the Life Fitness elliptical at the gym. It is more of the original cross country rear wheel drive ellipticals from the early 2000's. Im not a fan of these new "front wheel drive" ellipticals.
I had a proform elecptical back in like 2005 and each pedal had its own insert into some huge unit on the back, and it was nothing like this one. This is a real elliptical. Don't know how it varies from the 14whatever model but if you gonna play, you have to pay. Go 990 CSE.
Also FYI im a 5'8" former powerlifter, bodybuilder at 230lbs. This thing doesn't rock at all when I use it. Also will be a good switch from my 900 series proform treadmill that has worked fine with daily used every day since 2006. Dislocated my knee 2 years ago so wanted to do less impact cardio at home.
A friend put this together for me, took him about 3 hours, but he went really slow and has never seen an elliptical. Two people who have put together an office desk can do this in 2 hours easy.
Got mine a week ago from Amazon for less than 1k w free prime shipping. Box must have weighted like 280lbs, no charge 2 day delivery. Whoop whoop!

So far, bad experience Jun 11, 2011
By Frustrated Purchased from and shipped by Amazon. Received item sooner than expected, Friday afternooon delivery. Very large box slightly damaged and opened at two corners. Opened box as directed, removed and unwrapped all items. Realized that there was no manual or paperwork of any kind in box. After carefully sifting thru all packaging to make sure, I tried to contact Proform by phone. (Amazon says you have to deal with the manufacturer directly.) After 30 minutes on hold for assistance, I used information from the box label to access Proform Website and after much ado was able to access and print out the 28 page manual. Frustrated at wasting about 90 minutes, but relieved. Husband (experienced machinist) commenced to assemble. Several parts missing rendering it unusable, and Left Cover of pedal disc is broken off and clips and screws missing. Manual shows Saturday Customer service hours, but this is not so, will have to wait until Monday. Will update review, but right now kicking myself for online purchase. Update: Sent email to Proform on Saturday regarding damaged/missing items. They responded that evening asking for further info, which I furnished immediately. Sent two emails during week asking for order status with no response. Called today (Thursday) and was told that although order request was on record, it had not been placed. Will be 7 - 10 working days for delivery. Also told they are open on Saturday, no explanation for recordings I got. : {

Lovin' it! Mar 30, 2012
By Christy Smeltzer Starting working out on this elliptical this week, and so far so good! I have tried several of the programmed workouts, as well as just using the manual mode and I am very satisfied. It did wobble a bit at first, but after adjusting the levels in the back it has been great. It took my husband about two and a half hours to put this machine together, but he said it wasn't difficult, just time consuming. Seems very sturdy. I am thinking about purchasing the ifit module to compliment this unit, but am unsure if it is worth buying for the elliptical versus a treadmill. Any thoughts? Will update after I've had this for a few months.

Saved me from missing workouts this winter Jan 19, 2011
By Rockley The product met my expectations as described in the online description. The at home elliptical has saved me from missing work outs, do to freezing cold 5AM temperatures and snow. Great console programs, and the ifit live system rocks - i'll never run out of programs!
